Un enfoque de asociación de los condicionantes de la complementariedad entre actividades innovativas

Resumo

En la mayor parte de investigación reciente en economía de la innovación utilizando microdatos se confirma la existencia de una relación de complementariedad entre actividades innovativas internas y externas a nivel de empresas. Sin embargo, los resultados siguiendo técnicas econométricas duras se vuelven más inconclusos al momento de analizar los determinantes de dicha complementariedad. El presente artículo persigue contribuir a abordar este vacío en la literatura, proponiendo una estrategia empírica alternativa, que consiste en la aplicación de una combinación de técnicas estadísticas (como métodos de análisis multivariante) que denominamos enfoque de asociación. En esa dirección, el artículo realiza un Análisis Factorial de Correspondencias Múltiples y un Análisis de Cluster para evaluar en qué medida las relaciones de complementariedad se ven influidas por aspectos ambientales y por aspectos estructurales, en una muestra de 257 empresas de software de la Argentina. Los resultados permitan apreciar que el enfoque de asociación tiene un potencial superador de las limitaciones que los testeos y regresiones econométricas presentan para el abordaje de los condicionantes de la complementariedad
